That’s typical though. People just cannot understand what those auction trucks are. Over the past 40+ years, I couldn’t begin to remember how many guys I‘ve watched get totally destroyed by buying that junk. Every used truck on planet earth that’s for sale has a reason for the sale attached to it… it’s always a repair issue… always! Ritchie Bros. and others buy yachts and private islands off of people’s ignorance.

C1, I just recently found your channel. Also just recently, I discovered a 13 axle Trail King with a turntable on a rear 6 axle dolly. That turntable also has a power tower that’s incorporated into it. Tight turns… no problem! Holy mother! That’s a trailer! The only thing that one didn’t have was a power tower on the jeep. That could probably be built into it though, when it’s being built. Raise 2 towers and there would be a lot of nice clearance. I’d guess $800-$900 grand though, new. That thing would be costly. If a person could find one used (almost impossible), it would still likely be $400K. She’s a dandy though. That trailer floats behind the tractor; steers like a dream. C1, I just recently found your channel. It popped up in my feed. I’ve been in this for many years but not full time. I do pull reefers also. Since the mandate of elogs in Dec. of 2017, regular freight hauling has been a mess. Heavy-haul/specialized works better with elogs. It’s not perfect either but regular freight hauling involves constantly running in front of the clock. It’s a continual race. Thank you for posting these videos.

The small companies need people/drivers. The big companies already have plenty of people; they don’t need the money, consequently they don’t need anybody who’s new. The big companies have too much to lose; there’s too much risk attached to the new guy. This isn’t hauling toilet paper in a dry van;that’s for the simpletons. Heavy haul/specialized involves real risk which could translate into big lawsuits and revoked operating authorities when there is a mistake. Keep in mind, there is no such thing as an “accident.” It is always ‘uck up! Somebody didn’t use their brain! Those reasons, and more, are why small companies will be more likely to work with new people. Big companies do not need to add to the risk that they already have.

Definitely has that laid back attitude you need in H.H. All the piddly important things you have to remember and put up with. If your wrapped to tight your head would explode…..Amen on smoking.

Good attitude on ya. You take care of your equipment. Appreciate what you're doing. Had a '84 W9 and pulled CAT construction equipment a short time from '85-'93 but only on 6 axles. I loved that kind of haul and worked with some of the best. No idea what you're grossing out at but looking good. Stay safe.

Not worth any amount, just the annoyance. Im good with my no touch freight dedicated home weekends route at 102k/yr in the 2nd lowest cost of living state. Then when I get sick of this ill go back to hauling poultry feed in bulk tanker trailers and bein home every day. Glad ya'll out there doin it though. Not for me.

That's a beautiful rig you have there mate. I've seen very few Peterbilts in Australia, especially recent models.

For a relatively young trucker, this guy has a remarkably mature attitude. He looks after his equipment, his load and his safety. He's probably never lost a load.
